Network Administrator

• Leading and managing of the Network and IT Infrastructure.
• Support 24x7 operations and provide technical support for Network, Security and voice infrastructure of the Bank
• Coordinate and supervise daily/monthly/routine activities performed by network, security and voice System
  related to banking operations.
• Manage & plan the acquisition, configuration, and implementation of network & security appliances,
  communication links and passive networking requirements.
• Ensure preventive maintenance are conducted by the vendor at regular intervals and document reports for future references.
• Manage and maintain vendor licensing and Service Level Agreements for all network, security and voice
  infrastructure related products and services.
• Design and implement on-site high availability and real-time replications for critical infrastructure, business
  systems & applications
• Implement & maintain backup procedures for all critical network, security and voice systems
• Interface with Information Security team and implement system standards, security policies across all networks, security and voice systems.
• Interface with IT Project teams to plan, acquire and implement required IT infrastructure for new IT
  solutions/projects
• Ensures process and standards operating procedures (SOP) are documented, reviewed and updated on regular
  basis
• Conduct root cause analysis to determine the real or underlying cause of network, voice issues in order to prevent future recurrences
• Conduct performance tuning, operational process development and configuration management for all network, security & voice systems.
• Evaluate and recommend new infrastructure systems and processes that can support and enhance the
  reliability and availability of existing IT infrastructure
• Ensure ISO 27001 standards are implemented

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Designing and implementing short- and long-term strategic plans to meet certain IT Security and Network’s requirements
• Establishing and managing Business Continuity Site (BCS) where I was responsible for Networking, Security & Voice
• Configuring of Core switches, Routers, Internal & External Firewall, IPS/IDS, Proxy Servers, Mail Gateway and PBX and Voice Recording System.
• Ensuring Accessibility of Core Banking and Systems from BCP Site without a delay for all Amana Bank Premises
• Ensuring effective swapping between the 2 sites
• Ensuring of connectivity to Branches
• Updating all business continuity planning documents related to Network and Security
• Formulating project plans, costs and Bills of Materials for new projects and tenders
• Creating solution presentations to stake holders and internal teams
• Gathering requirements of new system and properly documenting
• Proposing solutions to address the inefficiencies and to meet industry standards and best practices Preparing Request for Proposals (RFPs); and Testing and evaluating new products and solutions.
• IT equipment procurement and inventory management.
• Maintaining & Administering of Internal/Perimeter Firewalls at Primary and DR Sites
• Design, Install, Monitoring & Maintaining of Amana Bank PLC Branch Network

• Administer network workstations, and make sure Client PCs are configured properly to obtain required network access.
• Troubleshooting Hardware / Software issues of Desktop Computers.
• Investigate user problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, test and implement solutions with recommendations and approval from IT Manager.
