Data Engineer

Miracle Linux/Asianux is a Red Hat Enterprise Linux based operating system cater for the Asian market, made for applications where information security is prioritized and a multi-byte supported Operating system.

• Rebuild, test RedHat released software packages for different architectures and versions of Miracle Linux/Asianux server using a mock environment.
• Debranding, recreating patch file based on Miracle
  Linux/Asianux needs and maintained, upgrading their own software packages.
• The Linux kernel, file system testing using LTP and LSB test suites and functional testing using VMs (Virtual Machine Manager)
• A bash program to create and run docker containers using different versions as well as architectures of Miracle Linux images to automate, manual testing of multi-software packages.
• A python program to optimize the work efficiency of analyzing test dependencies of a given set of software packages.

• Maintain and enhance existing pipelines used in the analysis of
  next generation sequencing datasets.
• Perform analysis of clinical sequencing data used for diagnosis
  and final reporting.
• Maintaining all the clinical databases using the ETL process to
  perform better analysis.
• Handle server administration, such as Linux, virtualization (Oracle VM Virtual Box) and Hardware and data backup and Archiving
• Maintain all the analysis tools versions in internal Git server. Extensive hands on experience in Linux (Ubuntu) command line interface, Bash scripting, Python/Jupiter, Notebook, MySQL, MongoDB, Version control (Git), Galaxy work-flow management system etc.
• Used known databases to create in house automated tools/pipeline for company requirements – the tools aided in reporting results to multiple patients/customers within a short period of time.
• Developed and maintained internal databases such as species & taxonomic database, patient database.

• Involved in design, development and maintenances of web components under php framework, Codeigniter.
• Work as a team member in Public wifi system (https://portal.publicwifi.lk/) and carried out system development and bug fixing.
• Worked as a team member in Athena (http://athena.lk/) and developed payroll module, time attendance module.
• Developed system using open source CMS Magento for avirate an online shopping portal (https://www.aviratefashion.lk/ and https://www.aviratefashion.in/)

• Actively involved in all system needs and coordinate and implemented system requirements.
• Daily backup process (Database Backup, Content Backup, Backup transfer)

• Developed management information System using Php Laravel
  framework and gathered user requirements.
