Associate Lead - Business Analyst - WSO2 Inc- (March 2020 - Present)

  • Leading the business analyst stream of the Open Banking unit:
    • Performing in-depth analysis on Open Banking regulation in Australia, United Kingdom & Europe to assist the team in providing compliance support from the product.
    • Maintaining continuous communication with the regulators & clients to stay on top of the new developments & future roadmap.
    • Manage the BA team to achieve the expectation and goals set.
    • Conducting knowledge sharing sessions for internal teams.
    • Finalizing the product features & document for the agreed scope.
    • Assisting team members on both solution development & testing.
  • Providing consultation services to external parties:
    • Conducted multiple sessions for personnel in the Central Bank Sri Lanka regarding Open Banking & Open Finance.
    • Assisting prospective customers to align their Open Finance to better suit their requirements.
    •  Conducted a session on an event organized by an overseas bank to update the staff about new trends in the banking domain.

Senior Business Analyst - Cloud Solutions Int., Colombo - (August 2019 - February 2020)

  • Managed multiple healthcare software products as product owner:
    • Conducted requirement elicitations with subject matter experts and internal teams.
    • Actively engage with product teams for the new features and future enhancements based on both functionality and usability perspectives.
    • Managing the product backlog & own the product deliverables.
    • Perform compliance testing on the final product to verify on agreed solution delivery and quality.

  • Outsourced as an IT consultant to television services of Dialog Axiata PLC
    • Conducted requirement elicitations with business users to determine the system requirements for business growth plan.
    • Assisted both internal and external teams on requirement finalization and implementation.
    • Played the role of Lead BA for the total business revamping project which has impacted all the touch points of the business.
    • Worked as the IT representative for projects conducted by other business units to assist in requirement scoping & feature finalization.

    • Worked on projects from inception (pre-sales) to delivery on & beyond business analysis scope covering initial product demos to final UAT training & assistance.
    • Later on, played the role of mentor for other BAs in the team to assist in their workload and guide them to achieve their deliveries.
  • Worked as a project manager for the solution provided to a financial
    institution:

    • Apart from playing the role of a business analyst also performed the role of project manager covering aspects of project plan and milestone finalization, resource management, project delivery and maintaining communication with all the stakeholders.
    • Was able to go-live with all the phases of the project as per the agreed timelines and collect the revenue.
