Data Analyst

Reporting to the Chief Planner of operations & state representatives of Cal Recycle, the role includes coordination of the environmental, debris contractors/ monitors to facilitate efficient receiving, storage and delivery of processed data for the state of California.

• Successfully worked with a team of developers to build a data pipeline and data warehouse to support the analysis of several departments’ data.
• Leveraged project knowledge that resulted in company-wide savings of $967,680.
• Promoted to Deputy Chief Planner after 6 months as being hired as a data manager.

Hired as a debris monitor and promoted to Data Quality Analyst within 4 months, responsibilities included identifying inefficiencies and leading projects to increase sample QC processing times.

• Extracted, transformed, loaded (ETL), cleaned, validated and modeled data with the goal of making conclusions for decision -making purposes.
• Successfully completed a project using Python to scrape and analyze data from a multiple databases, resulting in an 85% improvement in the accuracy of data collected.
• Effectively implemented and communicated daily workflow procedures to fellow team members, resulting in a 90% increase in productivity.
